Niwa and the gang continue their adventures in baseball. They’ve added another weirdo who is dressed like a limited edition Rainbow Brite NASA figure. Maekawa gets her cosplay panties all hot and bothered for Niwa who must step away from the wooing to save Erio from the new weirdo.

During a little stargazing and blood relation flirting Erio and Niwa are interrupted by the new weirdo. She’s as insistent about being a psychic alien as Erio was. Having had enough Erio steps into her battle futon to attack the space invader. The attack knocks her helmet off revealing…cue dramatic music…ANOTHER CUTE GIRL!!
Plan Loli From Outer Space!
Niwa sends her packing but the next morning Meme has not only let her back in but made her a meal. Meme feels a connection with her not just because of their shared quirks but because of the girl’s resemblance to Erio’s father, Elliot. Oh, Ryuuko and Niwa flirt on the phone somewhere between all that. She was hot. It was boring. Moving on.
I went through 6 captions before deciding anything I write for this would make me sound like a registered sex offender. Fuck it. Say "aaahhhh".

After taking Erio to work Niwa gives the space loli a ride. She gets distracted by the cool relief of the school pool where she has a little getting to know you time with that guy whose name I’m tired of typing. He links back up with Erio who expresses a desire to go swimming in a white top without a bra as well. I’m paraphrasing.
Family resemblance? The hell you say!
Thoughts:
This wasn’t your first episode of Denpa Onna so you knew what to expect and you got it. There was a bit more happening than last week but that isn’t saying much. The new girl, who is identical to Erio, has the same delusions as Erio, glows like the rest of the Towa’s and shares Elliot’s distinct hair color clearly isn’t important in any way and there’s no chance she’s related to the main characters.
For serious she has exactly the same shtick and rapport with Niwa as Erio did in earlier episodes. They’re just repeating themselves and I’m not that interested.
Having said that this shows watchability is pretty high so long as you just look over at it every now and again to marvel at how pretty it all is.
Also, Maekawa’s xenomorph cosplay is, in the opinion of your humble reviewer, the single greatest cosplay ever seen or performed in an animated serial originating from Japan in the style of “moe”. Shit was top-notch.

Do the gif thumbnails look like garbled messes to everyone or is it just me? It’s hard to see well through all the diabetes this fried ice cream flavored ice cream has given me.
With all the build up with the helmet girl last/this episode I was actually a little disappointed with her looks, and yes she was introduced entirely too late.
Looking forward to how they’ll end this series, there is plenty of original material to cover and I don’t really know where they’ll draw the line…
At this point I’m not sure what they could do to make the show anything beyond a super-moe extravaganza. Have you read the source material? Is it as focused on cuteness and slow pacing as the anime?
